Bhavana YOga: Intentional yoga

Yoga, a Sanskit word that means "union" refers to the relationship between the individual self (soul) and the Universal Self (God). Over the years, western culture has taken Yoga away from its pure form of a practice that has deep meaning for each individual that comes to practice. This means different things to each individual, and therefore, within a group space it is even more vital that all levels of practitioners are taught Yoga with intention and awareness.

The Sanskrit word bhāvanā is used to describe this mindset of Yoga. From the Sanskrit root bhū, or “to be,” bhāvanā means the cultivation of a proper intention. In this context, it refers to creating the mental conditions and focus supportive of success in Yoga.

Summer's Bhavana Yoga will hold this space of both 'cultivating a personal intention' for our Yoga practice, using pranayama (breath), asana (body movement) and meditation (calming of the mental space of the mind) to focus on the present moment and task at hand.

This class is truly for ALL LEVELS and is meant to hold a depth of Yoga that comes from within for each individual.

Private yoga sessions

One-On-One/Small Group Classes:
Most of us teachers offer one-on-one sessions that are a wonderful way to delve deeper into your practice. Working with your personal intentions and unique body, mind and spirit we will cultivate a practice that fits your mental, physical, and spiritual needs. These classes can also be a “small group private” including up to 5 people. Reach out for details & pricing.

Group Privates:
We offer group privates, this means 6+ people. A really fun way to connect with family, friends, to celebrate a birthday, to honor a bride, to just take and make some time for you and the ones you love! This can be facilitated in studio or at your desired location. Reach out for details & pricing.

Corporate Classes:
A wonderful way to connect with your fellow colleagues out of the workplace. We have seen these classes give a sense of a network (an opportunity to connect with like-minded people) to those in an industry, a time to relax for stressful workplaces, and in general a “feel'-good” attitude knowing your employer cares about your wellbeing. These classes can be held in the studio or at your location of choice. Many businesses book these classes for wellness weeks, team building opportunities, retreats, weekly mental health time and more! Reach out for more details.

sound bath meditation

Sound Bath is a deeply meditative experience. The vibrations of sound are used to bring a balanced relaxation to the mind and body. The 60 minute session will allow time for participants to settle in, and then we will begin with breath awareness to steady the mind and bring the body into a place of ease. Quartz bowls will offer soothing sounds to bring you further into stillness and rest. As the meditation concludes, participants are brought gently back to awareness of their physical self and surroundings.
Dress comfortably. Participants will be laying on yoga mats with blankets and bolsters for comfort.

Please note: Individuals with DBS or history of seizures should consult their medical provider before participating in sound vibrations sessions.
ALL SALES FINAL. NO REFUNDS, however, payment may be transferred to a future event within 6 months.
