Like the Shalas of Nepal, Sunshine Yoga is nestled quaintly in the shadow of Montana's Beartooth Mountains, over a mile high, in preparation to receive this vibrational energy we call consciousness. "We are the people we've been waiting for."
Nurturing your body, mind and soul through this ancient practice; Sunshine Yoga offers a variety of yoga classes such as, Vinyasa Flow, Strengthening Yoga Flow, Restorative, Yin, and even Pints and Poses where we team up with Red Lodge Ales, to combine our practice and leisure in an environment friendly for all. Classes are intuitively designed to invoke a deeper sense of awareness and healing through learning pranayama (techniques to regulate the breath), hatha asana (yoga postures for stretching and exercise), mantra (sound repetition to create intention and vibration for healing), mudra (hand gestures for channeling energy to certain areas), and guided meditation (reminding the body, mind, and soul to unwind).
Overcome time and all thats left is now, overcome space and all thats left is here. In the middle of here and now... we will see you there!

A final note…we want you to know that our goal is to make this practice approachable for everyone. There is no right age or size required to practice yoga. EVERYONE is welcome. Look for classes that encourage ALL LEVELS. Read through our class descriptions on the website and see what might work for you, i.e. Slow & Steady Yoga, Yin/Restorative, etc".

We have had many people say things such as “I wish you had yoga classes for people over 60” or “Your classes will be too hard for me”, or “I don’t look like people who practice yoga, I can’t come to a class”. But whatever your apprehension might be, just know that we have many students over 60 years old who join, we work with all kinds of physical limitations, there are bodies of all shapes and sizes attending classes, and we, as teachers, are here to help guide you to “your practice”. Ultimately, this practice is yours, your own creative expression of the self, and we encourage modifications, use or props and most importantly listening to your body and making it work for you.
