On the path to finding myself I found yoga. This practice which truly comes from the self, through the self and to the self, led me home. I have learned that this path is an eternal journey that I gladly wander with an open heart, mind and soul.
I have experienced the physical, the mental & emotional, and the spiritual growth which this practice has to offer both on and off of my mat. Through this personal growth I decided to take my first 200 hr yoga teacher training in 2014 as a birthday present to myself. The training that I had the gift of receiving at Lila Yoga in Spokane, WA changed my life completely.
The connections that were made, the knowledge that was learned, and the wisdom that was shared are forever in my heart and soul. Lila, which means 'Divine Play' in Sanskrit, in now a piece of me and how I would describe the way I teach and practice. A dance of the body, mind, heart & soul; it is playful, dynamic, creative, loving, grounding & uplifting, organic, fluid and unique.
I continued to study yoga and further my practice. In 2015 I did an internship (afriendaship) with a group of fellow yoga teachers at Lila Yoga, together we learned more about Ayurveda, leadership, teaching practices, and much more.
Then in 2016 I signed up for another training from Bear and Lara at Lila Yoga. Their knowledge of yoga and mediation, ability to hold space for the light and dark and loving ways have always and will always be two of my biggest inspirations. I journeyed through another 500 hours with them and my yogi brothers and sisters for one year. During that time I also assisted with another 500 hour teacher training being held at Lila. I am unconditionally grateful for all of the experience, wisdom and sacred space that was held during my time there. It is the root of what has brought me here; back to Red Lodge, my hometown, to cultivate the sacred space of Sunshine Yoga.
Being able to hold space for others to make their art through their own creative expression of this practice is what brings me joy. Guiding yoga is my passion and my mission is to give others the opportunity to cultivate a practice in which they can experience the unconditional love and light that is within us all. We are all a part of living yoga, each a unique facet of a whole.

“Yoga has been a part of my life for over 6 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires me to live each moment more mindfully.”
I completed my 500-hour advanced training with Lilananda Yoga Shala, (school of play). I will always be a student of the practice and am deeply grateful for the loving wisdom my instructors have shared with me.
In my classes, I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of Yogic philosophy to help you deepen your practice. I seek to help others thrive in life by nurturing body, mind and soul with this sacred Yoga, and my hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.
“Alex is known for his authentic, non-judgmental teaching style and fire-centered philosophy; helping students move through their fears and “experience their most heightened and enlightened life experience.” Availing himself to continuous philosophical education from the Yogic Scriptures, Alex weaves thought-provoking meditations throughout his classes, applying ancient wisdom to our contemporary western world in a useful and understandable way. He encourages growth of the physical and spiritual self, citing the interconnectedness to each other, to the world and to the universe at large.”

ELISE.
TEACHER
Elise has been practicing yoga for 5 years, initially being intrigued by the stretching and
calming aspect it can offer. As a result of a physical lifestyle exploring the outdoors of Colorado
skiing, hiking and training for sports she wanted to expand her health physically and mentally.
Her yoga evolved; she wanted to learn more, not only for herself, but to help others encompass
the same love of this practice as many instructors have instilled in her. With a passion for
helping others, and an education in anatomy, she felt led to focus on holistic healthcare. She
graduated from a 200 hour teacher training in 2020 from LifePower yoga, with an emphasis on
moving meditation and Ashtanga. Becoming an instructor has brought more insight to the
ancient practice, incorporating ongoing learning and self realization.
Learning to bring yoga off of the mat has shaped who Elise is today, not focusing on the future,
instead enjoying the present journey. Imagination and exploration creates a strong sense of self
and peace, a desire to bring this to her students is at the forefront of her teaching.
Elise hopes to cultivate a space for her students to feel comfortable, to learn, and to lean into
the discomfort as well as the comfort of a mindful yoga class. A playful class where others can
smile, laugh and be as they are, enjoying every moment of learning and self care on the mat.

Caitlin.
Caitlin is a certified yoga teacher and sound healer. She is registered with Yoga Alliance as a RYT500.
From a young age, Caitlin found inner connection and joy through movement. She attended a ballet school and trained in the principles of the Vaganova method. She went on to dance with a professional ballet company for one season. Following that opportunity, she shifted her focus away from ballet. In an effort to stay active, she began seeking other forms of movement.
In the early 2000s, Caitlin attended her first yoga class- an Ashtanga Primary class. She did not like it. At all. But she continued to attend classes, determined to maintain her strength and flexibility. It took many years after that first Ashtanga class, but something finally clicked. The practice shifted from something she viewed as not very likeable that was done only to maintain physical wellness, to a necessary piece of her everyday life. Over time, her practice has changed, bringing the focus more to the inner stillness that yoga offers.
It is her hope that those who attend her classes not only benefit physically from the yoga practice, but also find an awareness within the still moments to create an inner joy and peace.
Caitlin primarily teaches asana (the postures of yoga) classes. Additionally, she leads mindful awareness meditation, and also offers sound healing through 1:1 sessions and group sound bath meditation.

A true lover of adventure and the outdoors it is no wonder that Callie dropped roots in Montana. It is in nature that she feels truly alive and connected to the universe.
